We had a great time at the party at our place with Greg and Faith and their children--Andrew, Elijah, Lavella and Jonah. It was so good to be together with the Darling family and the Roselle family (Faith's family). The weather was just the right temperature with no rain, although it threatened all day. Kids kayaked, canoed and swam. We celebrated Elijah's birthday and he got a ball glove and a Popzooka air gun that shoots balls out like cannons. That was a big hit with the boys as they caught balls in the air with the ball glove for the longest time. They also played soccer. A group of avid fisherman, that included Hunter and Andrew, did a lot of fishing, and excitement arose every time another fish was reeled in. Hunter made the big catch of the day with a huge catfish that broke the pole it was so heavy. People enjoyed sitting around the campfire and eating S'Mores until late.
Megumi, the Japanese girl who stayed with us at age 16 for a weekend 14 years ago, and later went to BCC and BU, is now 30, married and living in Schenectady. Her husband, Zeb, and her parents, who are visiting from Japan, all came too. We had 45+ people!

I love the kids in the tree shot.
ReplyDeleteMe too! The kids in the tree! Gotta be my favorite! But lots of good pictures. Thanks so much for having us, these things are never simple or little work for the host family. And thanks for gathering up the lost and found and posting them. Esp. Asher's mag. glasss. The sandals might be Tre's family too. It was so great to see the kids playing together. And great to see everyone, esp. Greg and Faith and All those whom we don't get to see often. Thanks again, love to All, Norm (Aunt Norm)
