Hi FCF, family members and other willing workers,
Pastor/Pete would like help from people (mainly guys) who can carry ruined furniture out of the church, which will be collected by the township. He's planning to start tomorrow, Monday, Sept. 12 around 2 or 3 p.m. We are unable to purchase masks, goggles, rubber gloves or supplies, since we can't get to stores, so bring and wear your own gear for working in lots of mud and mustiness. Be safe. Wear protective items. We'll probably be going there to do something every day, so if this designated time doesn't work, there will be plenty of others.
We'll be scraping mud off floors and sorting out and recording what is salvageable and what isn't. We could use spray bottles of cleaner, paper towels, cleaning cloths, mops, snow shovels, regular shovels, buckets, bins, boxes, wheel barrows. Bear in mind that we don't have any running water, electricity or bathroom facilities. We may have to go somewhere to use the bathroom--fire company--perhaps. We could have people coming in off the street to help, so if you have extra things to share, that would be great.
Additional Items to bring:
Water
Hand sanitizer
Snacks
Food to eat & share: sandwiches, etc.
This is going to be a real challenge to get through, but we'll make it. " I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me (Phil.4:13).
We love you all!
Pastor Pete & Jill
PS Let us know if you can come, when you can come and what you can bring. Many of you are involved in your own mess, so don't feel obligated.
I don't have Tomilynn's email. Judy, please pass along. Susie: could you put this on the family blog? Pete wants everyone to know.
