There is a special project afoot! Any of you who have come swimming at the pond have probably noticed that the dock is in serious need of some repair. I wanted to get something done with it before Kayla's graduation party, but was not able to. Now we have another family graduation party coming up, as well as lots of great swimming weather to come. I really don't want anyone getting hurt on the broken boards, or taking a nasty fall on the slippery surface. The plan is to replace the two shot sheets of plywood, and then get the whole thing painted with the sandy-surface type paint.
It's a funny thing with these kind of things. One person may have the funds but not the time, and the next person (which would be me, in case you're wondering), has the time but not the funds. So here's the proposal:
If anyone feels able and so inclined to offer some funds, then I will do the work. I would like to do it soon. I would want to choose my own paint, but the plywood could be either donated, or the money to buy it donated. I have no idea what plywood costs but I would imagine the paint would run about $50 or so to complete the task.
Pray about it, think about it. This may be just the opportunity someone out there has been looking for to help out a good cause.
