dock project...

I wanted to give an update on the dock project. Thanks to Rick and Trish for donating the two sheets of plywood and the screws to attach them, Jamie and Kelly for tearing up the old ones and putting down the new, Greg and Faith, Sara, and Norma for donating the money to buy 2 gallons of non-skid paint, and Sharon for loaning me cash some until I could get all the money collected from people (so I could get the paint sooner).

It is definitely not a finished work. It soaked the paint up like a sponge so I will have to wait until I can get more to finish the sides and posts. The paint for that will not cost as much since it does not need to be the non-skid.

I am really happy with the surface. It truly does feel like it is non-skid. Your feet grip very well on it so hopefully we will not have anymore nasty wipe-outs!

Just a reminder:
Keep in mind that the place is reserved this Saturday for the whole day for Lauren's graduation party. And may I say a big congratulations to this amazingly talented, home-schooled young lady. We are very proud of her and all her accomplishments.
